Overview

Fairy Plus is a location-based adventure app designed for children to explore their neighbourhood and discover hidden fairies. We take privacy seriously, especially because our app is used by children. This policy explains what information the app uses, how it is used, and what is never collected.

Information We Collect

Fairy Plus does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or any third party.

All data generated by your use of the app stays entirely on your device.

Location (GPS)

Fairy Plus uses your device's GPS to determine your physical location. This is used solely to:

• Detect when you are near a fairy's home area
• Show your position on the in-app map
• Allow you to collect treats you walk past in the real world

Your location is never recorded, transmitted, or shared. It is only used in real time, within the app, while you have it open.

Locally Stored Data

The following information is saved to your device only, using your device's standard local storage:

• Your treat inventory and challenge completion history
• Which fairies you have befriended and the badges you have earned
• Your parental PIN (stored as a hashed value on-device)
• Whether you have completed the first-run tutorial

None of this data leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server, and we have no ability to access it.

Children's Privacy

Fairy Plus is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children
• The app does not require account creation, login, or any personal details
• There are no in-app purchases, advertisements, or links to external websites within the child-facing portions of the app
• The parental PIN system is included specifically so that a parent or guardian can oversee in-app reward approvals

If you are a parent or guardian and believe the app has inadvertently collected information about your child, please contact us at the address below and we will address it promptly.

Permissions

Fairy Plus requests the following device permission:

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or any other device data.

Third-Party Services

Fairy Plus does not integrate with any analytics services, advertising networks, social media platforms, or other third-party data services. No data is shared with any external party.

The app uses map tiles from OpenStreetMap for the in-app map view. OpenStreetMap may receive a tile request when the map is opened; this request does not include any personally identifying information. You can review OpenStreetMap's privacy policy at openstreetmap.org/privacy.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. To delete all app data, simply uninstall Fairy Plus from your device. This will permanently remove all locally stored information.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. We encourage parents and guardians to review this policy periodically.
